It operates in gravity mode.

Water is led through 110mm pipes from the bottom drain (skimmer) to the pre-filter.

The amount of water entering the pre-filter is regulated by a float device.

As soon as the water level rises, the float mechanism automatically throttles it.

A balance is achieved between the water entering the pre-filter and that which is pumped, maintaining a constant water level under the grid.

The water that falls through the stainless steel grate is freed from impurities with a size larger than 0.3 mm.

The water can then be directed to biological filtration using a pump that sucks the water under the grid.
